Bio
Prof. Amy Fearncombe-Meyers is an experienced litigator and law professor. She passed the bar exams in both Missouri and Illinois. Prof. Meyers first practiced as a trial public defender for the City of St. Louis, an appointed appellate attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender System, as defense counsel for universities, hospitals, and their employees in medical malpractice cases with two civil law firms in St. Louis, and as a plaintiff's employment discrimination advocate that included securing a wrongful termination judgment over $5M for a client. Prof. Meyers began teaching in 2008. She has taught courses in Legal Research and Writing; Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiations; Advanced Negotiations; Medical Malpractice; Problems in Practice - Civil Litigation; and Introduction to the Study of Law. She has coached teams in regional and national Client Counseling, Negotiation, and Moot Court competitions. Currently, she is a Professor of Law and the Director of Academic Skills & Bar Success at Willamette University School of Law in Salem, Oregon. Prof. Meyers routinely teaches Applied Legal Analysis, Advanced Training in Legal Skills, Legal Analysis for the Bar Examination, and spearheads the Bar Examination Accountability and Support Team (BEAST) supplemental bar prep program for graduates.
