Anne Gallagher

Anne Gallagher is the Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer at Willamette University. Based in Portland, Oregon, Anne brings a wealth of experience in finance and operations, and she’s made a significant mark on both the Salem and Portland campuses.

Before stepping into her current role, Anne was the CFO and COO at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) from 2019 to 2021. She played a key role in the successful merger between PNCA and Willamette University, helping both institutions navigate the complex process with a steady hand. Her leadership ensured a smooth transition, all while keeping an eye on the financial health of the organization.

Anne's experience goes even deeper. For 12 years, she served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Up with People, a global organization based in Denver that focuses on education and cultural exchange. During her time there, Anne led financial planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives, helping the organization grow and thrive.

Anne earned her degree from the University of Colorado Denver, where she honed her skills in financial management. Beyond her professional expertise, Anne is known for her warmth and approachability. She’s developed close connections with the Willamette community and has a deep commitment to the university’s mission.

When she’s not tackling budgets or facilities projects, Anne can often be found with her dog, Oscar, who’s her furry companion. Whether in the office or out in the community, Anne brings both her professional expertise and personal touch to everything she does, making her an invaluable part of the Willamette team.
