Bio

Tabitha Knight earned her B.S.B.A. with a concentration in finance from California State University, Sacramento. She then earned her Masters and PhD in Economics at Colorado State University where she was trained in heterodox economics. A feminist macroeconomist, Knight's expertise is in the intersection of economic development, international trade and finance, and the economics of race and gender. Specifically, her research focuses on gendered labor markets both domestically and abroad. Her newest research trajectory is on the intra-household bargaining model and how it can be altered to evaluate non-traditional households. She teaches courses in the Economics Department along with courses that count towards International Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. She also has taught multiple College Colloquium courses including Harry Potter and the Ethics of Difference, Rhetoric in Children's Films and What's the Craic? Ireland in Language and Culture.
