Michael Lazarus

Michael Lazarus works with a variety of materials, using carefully crafted color choices, pattern, and a vocabulary of pared down imagery to create paintings with a dynamic and powerful presence. He received a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Visual Studies from the School of Visual Arts, NY. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Amsterdam and Montreal; his work has been written about in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Art in America, Art News, and Flash Art among others.
