Bio
Patricia Dwyer, originally from Colorado, has performed professionally with various ballet and musical theater companies across the country including The California Ballet in San Diego, Canyon Concert Ballet in Colorado,The Peninsula Ballet Theatre in the SF Bay Area and Coco et Compagnie in Berkeley California, where she was a soloist with husband John. Career highlights include the Off Broadway production of “Your Feet’s too Big” featuring the music of Fats Waller in New York, and originating the role of the Queen of Hearts in Charles Bennett’s Alice in Wonderland.
Patricia holds a B.A. in Dance and an M.Ed. in Education. In 1999/2000 she was named acting Artistic Director for the San Jose Dance Theatre, where she staged a full length Nutcracker with live orchestra in addition to a new works festival later in the season. Patricia has taught all levels of ballet and enjoys helping students form a lifelong understanding and love for the art form of dance and to help students grow in a positive and constructive environment. Patricia is part of the teaching staff at Doty’s Performance Studio in Sherwood, Oregon in addition to her work here at Willamette University.
