Samantha Mash

Samantha Mash is an Oregon based, California born, artist. Samantha currently works as a freelance illustrator specializing in editorials, publishing and branding while also running her own online store of illustrative merchandise and supplying her art for consignment through brick and mortar stores around the globe.

As a West Coast artist she finds inspiration in the nature around her. This can be seen often in the palettes of her work from the dry marsh areas that are from her hometown of Palo Alto alongside the colors of the forests from around where she landed within Portland.

Samantha’s illustrative work is heavily focused on symbolism, flow, and movement within human and animal forms. With her textural, yet shape-based, style she plays at the border of illustration and design as she seeks to translate complex feelings and concepts into personal and professional art. Samantha strives to bring awareness to the subjects and stories she depicts within her illustrative body of work.
