Bio

Sally Schoolmaster is an Associate Professor of Art, Foundation Chair and the Associate Dean of Academic Success. She teaches in the Photography and Foundation departments, where she is dedicated to helping her students hone their artistic skills through the exploration of social justice, environmentalism, identity, and the ethics of photography. Prior roles include Photography Chair (2002-2014) and Faculty Senate President (2014-2022). She earned an MFA in Photography from Ohio University. Her architectural photography has been published internationally in books and magazines, including Metropolis, Casabella, Archis, New York Times Magazine, Wallpaper, and Architectural Record. She lives on her quarter-acre urban homestead with her five chickens, two cats, a dog, and a family of feral rabbits.
