Bio

After five years of people leadership and management as an Area Manager at Amazon, Travis Schulz recently transitioned into working in Higher Education. Graduating with a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature in 2020 from Corban University, Travis found himself like several other graduates attempting to navigate a global pandemic with few job opportunities. This led to his transition to Amazon in May of 2020 as a seasonal associate. Within five years, Travis underwent several promotions which ended with him managing quality assurance for an Amazon site of 1,300 associates.

During this time Travis found a love for engaging in professional development and helping his direct reports to succeed. This not only involved directly managing several departments and supervisors at Amazon, but leading people development trainings to enhance frontline leadership.

This coupled well with Travis’s volunteer work in helping young adults in the Salem faith community and at Corban University to find their path to professional success. Travis has been invited to lecture and provide mentorship to Corban students as they navigate the end of their university life, and continues to be involved in their career development.

With a desire to continue to serve university students in a greater capacity, Travis left Amazon in June of 2025 and now provides support for the Executive Development Center. He is also pursuing a Master's in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Portland.
