Bio
I am a scholar who works at the intersections of critical/cultural studies, media studies, rhetoric, organizational communication, and ethnic studies. My research is broadly focused on the rhetorics of belonging and marginalization circulating throughout public culture. I examine the possibilities and perils of media representation in an increasingly digital age and the notions of citizenship and the very limits of its enactments. I focus on two related but distinct subsets: 1) Asian American civic media rhetorics and practices and 2) race, racism, and relationality.
