Pro Bono Honors Recognition
All students are eligible to participate and it’s easy to qualify for an award. First year law students receive Honors recognition after completing 10 hours of pro bono work as a legal or general volunteer during Winter or Spring Break. Second and third year students must complete 30 hours of legal volunteer work to be recognized. The students who have the most hours for their class receive special recognition.
One third year student is awarded The Rupert E. “Rudy” Park, Jr. Pro Bono Student of the Year Award for contributing the most hours of pro bono service throughout their law school career and who has participated in the Pro Bono Program in at least the second and third year of law school.
Participating in the Pro Bono Honors program is another way to add practical experience to your resume.
