Alumni
Since its founding in 1883, Willamette University School of Law has educated more than 6,000 individuals who have gone on to do great work in their professions and in their communities.
Among our distinguished alumni are several federal judges and state Supreme Court justices, U.S. Senators and Representatives, state governors, and heads of Fortune 500 companies. We also count among our alumni countless directors of nonprofits, members of the clergy, teachers, social workers, small business owners and restaurateurs.
But perhaps more importantly, Willamette has produced some of the finest attorneys who work in the field each day — individuals who help members of their communities navigate difficult divorces, set up estate plans, or get new business ventures off the ground; as well as attorneys who prosecute crimes and represent the accused — all to ensure justice is served.
We are proud of our graduates and all they have accomplished in their time since they walked the halls of Willamette University School of Law.

Attorney-Mentor Program
Willamette’s School of Law has the oldest practitioner-student program in Oregon. Our Attorney-Mentor Program matches first-year students with attorneys and judges. The program is designed to promote the professional development of students through an informal exchange of ideas and experiences. Attorney-mentor may offer their mentees career advice and encouragement during the first year of law school as well as including them in various work-related activities and local networking events in the legal community. Mentors can help their mentees make the transition from law student to professional.
The mentor relationship serves as the first building block in a rich network of connections students will make throughout their legal careers. Our goal is for Willamette students to be prepared, not only for the intellectual rigors of practicing law but also for the continued growth and development required of a professional.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the online form or email law-career@willamette.edu. We encourage all attorneys and judges to join our program..
