The information on this page is a guide to help BA/MBA students plan their MBA curricular path.

Specific information about all graduation requirements (including minimum gpa, IKEWS, Management Writing Program, etc.) for BA/MBA students is available in the student handbook. If you have questions about graduation requirements or registration, contact Karen Arthur.

Each BA/MBA student begins the MBA program with zero, one or two CAS required courses that must be completed during the first year of the MBA program. This means that the course schedules for each BA/MBA student is unique. Be sure to consult with Karen Arthur about your own situation if you have questions.

  • BA/MBA students participate in the Willamette Early Career/Career Change MBA program. The experience is comprised of a strategic combination of required and elective courses, experiential learning, and co-curricular programming that provides:

    • knowledge of the principles of management
    • an integrated perspective of management decision-making
    • in-depth knowledge and expertise
    • real professional experience employers value
    • up to three semesters of internship experience
    • leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
    • career management and professional tools
  • BA/MBA students must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 60 approved credits of MBA coursework. The 60 credits of MBA coursework, must include thirty-four (34) credits of MBA required courses, four (4) credits from an MBA Experiential Elective course, three (3) credits of MBA internship, and a minimum of nineteen (19) credits of MBA elective coursework.

  • MBA elective courses provide in-depth knowledge in many functional areas of interest. Use the links below to explore the elective courses recommended for your areas of interest.

  • At the end of the senior year, BA/MBA students who have successfully completed all College of Arts and Sciences graduation requirements (including successful completion of MBA credits required for completion of the BA degree) are awarded the Bachelor of Arts degree.

    During the fifth year of study, BA/MBA students complete the second year MBA curriculum and any remaining MBA courses that were postponed during their first year of the MBA program.

    At the end of the fifth year, BA/MBA students who have completed all BA and MBA graduation requirements are awarded the MBA degree.
