For International students in the U.S.
Immediate personal safety and health are at risk:
- Your first emergency contact should be with WU's Campus Safety office which never closes. This is so you can get the most appropriate help as quickly as possible.
When you call Campus Safety, ask the name of the person to whom you are speaking, then give that person the following information — speak slowly and clearly.
- Say this: "I am international student with an emergency. I need your help."
- your name;
- your location in the US – city and state.
- the type of help you are requesting and urgency;
- a brief explanation of the problem;
- how you can be contacted (phone number, What's App, e-mail address) — give as many options as available;
- the names and contact info (if possible) of those you have already contacted for assistance, even if you have not yet received a response from them. This could be your parents/other personal supporters, first responders, WU staff.
Ask them to help you connect with an OIE staff member for assistance. They will call us, give us your information, and we will then respond to you. We will try to connect with you as soon as we can.
For students who are abroad
