Statement of Solidarity (Prepared by PHEAL students)

• Students and faculty of the Willamette University Program in Public Health Ethics, Advocacy and Leadership stand firmly against all forms of intolerance, hate, and discrimination.
• We commit ourselves and our program to promoting an environment of critical and inclusive reflection and learning.
• We join the wider Public Health profession in efforts to center equity in our work in the classroom, our university, and wider society.
• According to the American Public Health Association (APHA), "Creating health equity is a guiding priority and core value of public health."
• By health equity, we mean everyone has the opportunity to attain their highest level of health.
