Permit Information

View the different policies that Willamette University has for mobility impairment, bicycle and motorcycle, and reserved parking permits.

  • If you have a state disabled parking permit:

    With a Willamette University Standard parking permit, state disabled permit holders may park in any marked disabled space or any regular space in a Standard parking lot. Here is amapof designated disabled  parking spaces, as well as ADA access doors.

    If you have a temporary impairment:

    Students who have an injury or illness which significantly reduces their ability to walk short distances, who have a valid Willamette University parking permit, should reach out toAccessible Education Services (AES). AES can assist students with accommodations and will work with Campus Safety to create a solution when appropriate. Employees should reach out to Human Resources. 

  • Bicyclesandelectric scootersmay be parked only in designated bike racks. Bicycles or scooters locked to railings or parked in hallways are subject to removal by Campus Safety.

    Protect your bicycle

    Bicyclesandelectric scootersmay be parked only in designated bike racks. Bicycles or scooters locked to railings or parked in hallways are subject to removal by Campus Safety.

    • Use a U-shaped lock, not a cable lock.
    • Lock wheel and frame to the rack
    • Immediately report suspicious persons around bike racks
    • Register your bicycle with Campus Safety at no charge. If a stolen bicycle is subsequently recovered, it can be easily returned to the registered owner.

    Motorcyclesand othergasoline-powered two-wheeled vehiclesare required to have a permit and park in designated areas. If a Reserved Permit is purchased the user may park in their reserved space only. With a Standard Permit users may park in Designated Motorcycle Parking areas. Motorcycle Parking areas are located:

    • East side of Winter Street, just south of Lausanne Hall and the fire lane
    • Adjacent to the Grounds building at the southwest corner of the Matthews parking lot (near foot bridge)
    • In the Kaneko Commons Reserved Parking lot, near the blue emergency phone

    Protect your motorcycle

    • Always lock your vehicle
    • Never leave valuable items with your vehicle
