FAQs

Come to the Montag Rental Center to make a reservation.
We are happy to answer questions over email, but renters must speak to rental staff to reserve or rent equipment.

• When can people rent gear?

  Our Montag Rental Center is open some weekday hours during the regular academic calendar. If you cannot visit Montag during our regular hours, you can make an appointment for another time by emailing us.

• Does it cost anything?

  Currently equipment rental is free to students and Willamette staff, faculty, and administrators with a current Willamette ID.

• How long can I rent gear for?

  Because this gear is shared for all of campus, we ask you are considerate in your rentals. If you know you want something for an extended period, make a reservation so we can hold it for you. Otherwise, tell the ODP staff what day you will be returning it when you check it out. Then, bring it back on time.

• What is my responsibility?

  All gear rented should be returned on time and in good working order and appropriately clean and on time. If equipment is exceptionally dirty, we will ask you to clean it before accepting its return. We have supplies you can use to clean it. Otherwise, if you return an item broken, you will be responsible for the cost of replacing that item.

  Each rental has a rental agreement shared with borrowers at the time of rental. Please be sure to read the terms.
