If the hiring process is completed (or scheduled to be completed) before July 1st, there’s nothing you need to do. Employers will complete their hiring process in Handshake. All employers have been notified of the transition. For student worker roles, we have saved all job descriptions. For external roles, we recommend you reach out to the organization directly if you have not heard about a position you applied for.
-
Yes, though starting in July you will need to look ONLY on CareerConnector. Access to Handshake will be discontinued. Due to this transition, you may have the most luck looking for roles closer to August.
-
No. Beginning July 1st, you will need to log into CareerConnecter and upload your documents there. If you'd like to save materials that you've previously uploaded, we recommend downloading them from Handshake before access ends June 20th.

You can start using CareerConnector to view opportunities beginning on July 15. However, please note that most campus jobs are posted closer to the start of the semester…typically in August.

You will need the same materials as you needed for Handshake: a job description, application requirements, and a designated supervisor to review applications and complete hiring. Overall, we feel the process for this new platform will be more user-friendly.
-
It is important that all student jobs are posted on our database. This promotes equity in the hiring process and is consistent with HR’s Student Employment hiring policies. If you have any difficulties posting, please reach out to Anne Lapour in Career Development: aslapour@willamette.edu.
