Our Purpose and Mission

The Office of Intercultural Engagement & Inclusion is committed to providing all WU students with opportunities to celebrate diverse cultures & cultivate community. We do this so our students can thrive authentically, academically, socially, & professionally.

The Renjen Center for Equity & Empowerment

The E&E is your home away from home. It is an inclusive space where students from all backgrounds and identities can find connection, support, and resources to thrive. We welcome every student who shares our commitment to building a campus community where everyone belongs.

Within the E&E, students can:

  • Hangout with their friends in community & meet new people
  • Relax & study in a welcoming space
  • Meet with OIEI professional for individual or group advising for academic, professional, and social aspects of their college experience
  • Connect with OIEI student staff who can assist with peer advising, programming, and more
  • Attend a variety of programs hosted by the office or cultural student clubs
  • Explore resources within our library
  • Collaborate on future programming and initiatives

The OIEI is physically located in the E&E and oversees the space.

Directions & Hours

We are located behind Lee/York and east to Goudy Commons. The E&E is open everyday during the academic year from 7am-1am. It is closed during campus closures and summer vacation.
