Final Campus Deadline:September 1, 2026
Application Information:
For the 2027-28 competition, Willamette University welcomes applications from the following students and recent alumni:
- BA and BS students who are currently in the senior (4th) year, graduating in January or May, 2027.
- MBA, MS, and JD students in their final year, or graduating in January, May, or August, 2027
- Alumni of Willamette University (non-PNCA grads) who have graduated within the past five years
- Note: all Fulbright eligibility requirements must be met in order to apply! See the "eligibility" section of this website for details
Willamette University follows these deadlines for the 2027/2028 competition:
- August 10, 2026: Willamette’s priority review deadline for application feedback. For priority review, mark your online application "ready for campus review" by pressing the “ready for campus review” button by 5 pm PST on 8/10/26. To meet this deadline, you must turn in completed drafts of all materials except reference letters and transcripts. Priority review applicants will meet with Willamette’s FPA prior to 9/1/26. You may mark your materials “ready for campus review” later than this (up to 9/1/26), but applicants who submit after 8/10/26 will not meet with the FPA prior to 9/1/26.
- August 2026: Priority applicants meet with Willamette FPA and/or faculty committee member.
- September 1, 2026: Willamette campus deadline. By September 1, 2026, at 5 pm PST, all materials must be revised and marked "ready for campus review" again so that they can go to the Campus Committee
- First two weeks in September, 2026: Complete interview with Campus Committee and revise all application materials for national submission. Exact dates will be determined according to candidate and Committee availability. The campus interview will be in person, unless the student is abroad, in which case a remote option will be available.
- October 6, 2026 at 2 p.m. PST (5 p.m. EST): National Deadline for submission of all materials via the application portal.
