Mission
The Gender Resource and Advocacy Center (GRAC) is open to all Willamette students and provides resources and support to students of any gender and sexual identity in the Willamette University community. We strive to create a safe and affirming space intended to empower those we serve. We promote gender equity and inclusivity through education and collaboration. The GRAC offers individual and confidential advocacy to those impacted by sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, and sexual harassment.
Willamette University is committed to upholding the dignity and worth of all individuals. Creating an environment where everyone is free of discrimination and has an opportunity to be supported and valued is key to productive learning, along with personal and professional development. We understand that there are differences in a variety of personal identities, for instance as it relates to gender identity and expression.
Willamette University is committed to aligning our practices, policies, and campus environment to create a community of inclusion for transgender students, employees and visitors.
Staff
The Gender Resource and Advocacy center is staffed by the Director/Confidential Advocate, SARA Coordinators, Student Advocacy Coordinators, the LGBTQ+ Resource Coordinator, the Sexual Health Resource Specialists, and volunteer SARA students.
